Mipkin is made by a very small team. Email is the fastest way to reach a human, and it goes to somebody who works on the app rather than a queue.
Things you can answer without us
How do I cancel Plus?
Subscriptions are billed by the store, so they are cancelled there. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running.
I paid but the app does not know
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. That asks the store directly, and works on a new phone with no account.
I want my data out, or gone
Both are in the app and neither needs us. Export gives you everything the app holds as a file. Delete removes all of it from the device permanently.
How do I turn reflections off?
Settings → Reflections on my pages. It takes effect immediately, and nothing you have written is affected.
How do I turn visiting off?
Settings → Visiting. It revokes the code you shared. If you are offline, reconnect and try again; the app will not say the code is revoked until the service confirms it.
The app went quiet
Check whether Taking a break is on in Settings. It silences reminders on purpose. Nothing expires while it is on.
How do I turn care cues off?
Settings → Care cues → turn off Optional care cues. This removes the account-backed notification registration; it does not affect your Mipkin or writing. You can also pause cues for a week, choose fewer categories, choose a lower frequency, turn off lock-screen art, or reset what Mipkin learns. If every notification is off, check your phone’s notification settings before turning care cues on again.
I changed phones
Your journal writing stays on the device. If you explicitly turned on account backup and made an account copy, reconnect that account in Settings and choose Restore account copy for Mipkin progress, Nook choices, inventory and settings. Optional sign-in can also recover a linked visiting code. Export before you switch phones if you want a separate local copy.
How do private friends work?
Friends are invite-only and both people have to choose the connection. There is no public list, profile search or chat. You can remove or block a connection in Settings at any time.
I want to delete my optional account
That account is separate from the Mipkin and writing stored on your phone. Reconnect it in Settings and choose Delete account; this removes the account record and withdraws any linked visiting code. If you used passwordless email sign-in, it also removes that Firebase Authentication identity. If you cannot open the app, use our account-deletion page.

Reporting a security or privacy issue
Email support@mipkin.app with what you found and how to reproduce it. We will reply. Please give us a reasonable window to fix anything serious before publishing it.
